Plot
Actor Shahjahan, who is renowned for his romantic movies, wishes to do make a raw genre. So, he decides to get trained in method acting. Rifle Club is in the Western Ghats. It is a Christian ancestral set-up which teaches how to hunt and handle guns. Kuzhuveli Lonappan is the founder of the rifle club. Avaran is the manager now. Shahjahan visits the rifle club to learn about hunting and gun handling. Dayanand is an arms dealer in Mangalore. Shahjahan’s cousin and his girlfriend, had a clash with Dayanand’s son, which resulted in his death. Shahjahan’s cousin enters the rifle club to escape from Dayanand and his boys. But, Bheera, Dayanand’s other son follows them to take revenge for his brother’s death. What happened next? Will Shahjahan’s movie dream come true or will he be destroyed along with his cousin? The rest of the film showcases these.
Star Performance
Vijayaraghavan, Dileesh, and Vani led the film with their experienced acting. Anurag had always played his role perfectly in all the films, but something was missing in his performance in his Malayalam debut. Suresh Krishna, Ponnamma and Hanumankind did their job pretty well.
Analysis
When we go through the story, it doesn’t have anything unique. But, the speciality is in screenplay and execution. The director executed it well with the highly talented performers. The first half moves at a brisk pace than the second half. However, the director managed to make the second half interesting with mini twists. Aashiq Abu’s direction and cinematography are good. The beauty of the Western Ghats is finely captured and they give a good treat to the eyes. The editing is pretty decent. Though it appears to be a high-octane action thriller, it really has decent action scenes without gore.
